We are serving with Adventure in Mission’s (AIM) feeding carepoints here in Eswatini this month! Eswatini is a country surrounded on 3 sides by South Africa and is home to 1.18 million people with an average life expectancy of about 61 years. Over a third of the population is younger than 14 years old and over 50 percent of the population is under the age of 24.

AIM has established 39 carepoints in Eswatini that feed over 7,200 children. This month our squad is serving with these feeding carepoints to share God’s love with many of these children through food distribution, discipleship, teaching the Bible, games, songs, and helping out in whatever ways we can. We work in partnership with local missionaries who have been trained and raised up to facilitate and organize these carepoints.

We drive about 1.5 hours each day to the carepoint and love on the kids there for several hours, talking and playing with them and teaching them stories from the Bible and then we help distribute the meals. We will also be able to do some home visits with the kid’s families theoughout our time here. Some of the kids live near the carepoint and others walk over 2 hours one way to come for the food. The kids are spunky, fun, creative, playful, joyful, and so expressive and passionate for the Lord. I am loving getting to know the students and am very thankful to be able to serve with this ministry this month.
Please join me in praying for these kids and their families and their relationships with the Lord and for more of their basic needs to be met. As always thank you for your continued prayers and support and joining me in this journey!

Prayer Requests:
*Opportunities to share the gospel with these children and that they would grow in their relationships with the Lord
*Restoration and perseverance within our squad for the final 3 months of the Race; pray that we would not grow weary but rather grow in further dependence on the Lord and eager and joyful obedience in what He has called us into

Praise Reports:
*God’s incredible faithfulness through every step of this journey
*Complete healing of my leg
*Continued opportunities to share His gospel, love and truth
*God’s provision of financial and prayerful support for the mission trip returning to Honduras in January!

  2. Thank you Naomi! Love you and so grateful to hear of your mission now. Will pray for your team and the children and families there. The joy of the Lord is our strength. If there are resources, maybe they would make drawings to share with children in Missoula 🙂

  3. Hello Naomi! We’re so glad that you are in Africa safe and sound! That was an amazing journey you took from Cusco to Eswatini.
