We’re in Honduras! We are serving with an incredible ministry called Catracho Missions in the mountains of Comayagua, Honduras!

Catracho Missions is a ministry that focuses on equipping and sending out missionaries, planting churches, teaching life skills such as cooking and sewing to the women of the mountain,  Bible studies,  teaching the Bible to the people of the mountain,  hosting church services and a walking ministry (they will walk up to an hour one way on the mountain to serve, teach and love people in their own homes).

While we are here we are partnering with the Catracho Mission’s team repairing their church building, doing construction on their ministry site, helping with their reforestation project, teaching the Bible and life skills to the women and children of the mountain, teaching and assisting with twice weekly school sessions at the ministry site (students on the mountain have not had access to school for 2 years, since Covid hit and classes went remote) and any other additional ministries and needs the Mission has for us.

We are serving alongside team Flocka Sheep, a team from Argentina, and the local Catracho Missions team this month and next month! Honduras is absolutely breathtaking and the people have been so kind and welcoming! I am incredibly humbled and honored to be able to serve here in Honduras alongside these incredible people!

A typical ministry day with Catracho Missions:
6-7am Wake up in my tent to the sun and sound of our free range chickens (Bob the rooster has incredible lung capacity and a lot to say!)
7-8 am Breakfast with our teams (typically corn tortillas, eggs and beans)
8-12:30 pm Construction projects around the ministry site
12:30-1:30 pm Lunch
1:30-5 pm Women’s ministry, ministry in the community,  children’s ministry, assisting with school for the children etc.
5:30-6:30 pm Dinner
6:30-7pm Team time

7-9pm Training and worship
9-10 pm Quality time with squad members and getting ready for bed

Praise Reports:
* God has really blessed and used my limited Spanish knowledge to be able to communicate effectively with the missionaries and people of the mountain!
* Our team has all safely arrived in Honduras and God is doing incredible things through Catracho Missions

Prayer Requests:
*Continued healing for my leg as it has struggled with adjusting to life on the mountain; I’m very thankful for my trekking poles and all of the support and accommodations my team has made for me!
*God’s continued blessings on the ministry of Catracho Missions!
*There is a plot of land at the base of the mountain that Catracho Missions is trying to purchase to plant more churches and missionary training centers. Please pray for God’s hand and blessing on this land!

As always, I am so thankful for you all and your prayers and support in this ministry! Thank you!

  2. What an incredible place and ministry. You can see God’s love in action. Praying for healing for your foot and healing for those all around you too!

  3. So proud of you Namoi! You are the perfect person to share the love of Christ to Honduras and I will be praying fervently for God to be using you and healing you. Can’t wait to hear more!! I love you!!!

  4. Hi, Naomi! It’s so wonderful to hear from you! The way you speak about everything that is happening with the ministry is so uplifting. I can always hear the sweetness in your heart. Wow, what a blessing you and the team have been to the ministry and the people of the mountain. We’re so proud of you for everything you’re doing….it’s do great that you’re pulling your Spanish out! Don’t let that be a drain on you though, I know that it takes a lot of mental energy to translate for yourself and others. Just rest back in the Father’s arms and let Holy Spirit translate through you! Praying for you and the team always. Love you so much!

  5. Hi, I’m Sarah’s mom. I enjoyed your post to see more of what your day is like and that video was great to watch. I’m praying God gives you a gift of the Spanish language like in the book of Acts and miraculously heals your leg.
